During this time frame, she spent over 70 hours volunteering for organizations such as the Virginia Beach SPCA, Lynnhaven River NOW, Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, and FiXiT Foundation.

03.22.15_OV_Clean_Up_2_World_Water_Day_Annie_cIn addition to coordinating and joining all of the Hampton Roads SOLitude team volunteering events, Ann Marie continues to honor her personal goal and commitments by volunteering at least once a week at the Virginia Beach SPCA cat adoption center and conducting independent trash cleanups every weekend in the Ocean View beach area of Norfolk. For her cleanups, she outfitted a multi-purpose cart to easily separate trash from recyclables, allowing her to cover a greater area during each visit. Ann Marie’s true passion naturally inspires friends, family and even strangers to join in on her cleanup efforts.

“Ann Marie came to SOLitude already believing in The SOLution's mission,” explained Kevin Tucker, owner and President of SOLitude Lake Management. “Her dedication to volunteerism motivates each of us to act on our passions and follow through with our goals to help create a better world. She is truly deserving of this recognition and we could not be more thrilled about her willingness and overall commitment to our environment and local communities."
