SOLitude’s Volunteer of the Quarter Makes an Impact with Cardz for Kidz
Our corporate volunteering and community outreach program, The SOLution, proudly announces Raquel Mason, Regional Administrator in Florida, as our Volunteer of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2023. As an active member of the SOLution program, Raquel has dedicated her time to making Cardz for Kidz, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes homemade cards to children who are in hospitals or experiencing other difficult situations.
Raquel's Impact on The SOLution Program
“Raquel has been a huge part of our volunteer program. She really exudes the values that The SOLution holds. She has made it such a mission to touch the lives of so many people with her cards. I have a box of all the cards I have received over the years from different holidays and birthdays, so to think of receiving something so special from someone just trying to make a difference is incredible. Raquel does a great job with her volunteering, and I love to highlight the work she does,” said Hannah Gentry, Community Outreach and Communications Specialist at SOLitude Lake Management.
Helping Bring Joy to Kids Nationwide
Raquel has volunteered with Cardz for Kidz for several years and is very involved with the organization. She volunteers with her mom and has become the go-to card maker for the group if there are events or card requests. Raquel’s cards bring joy to kids across the country and have touched the lives of every kid who receives one.
Making Waves with The SOLution
Our company-wide volunteering program, The SOLution, encourages colleagues to give back to their communities through service. SOLitude established The SOLution in 2012 as part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement. During Q3, SOLitude employees generated 217 volunteer hours, bringing the yearly total to 504 hours.
