Rebecca Higgerson
Director of Business Operations and Procurement
Rebecca Higgerson joined the SOLitude Lake Management team as the company’s Service and Inventory Manager and was quickly promoted to Director of Operations. In this role, she is responsible for managing and overseeing our field service operations, as well as our vendor relations, purchasing, and procurement activities.
Becky brings with her 25 years of finance, purchasing and leadership experience. Becky is a graduate of Old Dominion University and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Becky’s early career consisted of finance-related positions before becoming the Controller for a game company in Norfolk for ten years where she managed the finances and operations for the company. For the eight years, prior to coming to SOLitude, she was the Director of Purchasing for a large national company headquartered in Virginia Beach that provides tactical equipment, services, procurement, and support solutions to the local, state and federal government. While there, Becky built and managed a purchasing team of 18 people and managed $1.3 billion in purchases a year. She was responsible for vendor contract negotiations, and implemented a Supplier On Time Delivery program for several hundred preferred suppliers that made a huge impact on improving the overall operations of the company.
Becky is a native of southeastern Virginia. She and her husband live in Chesapeake with their Norfolk terrier, Rugby. When she is not spending time with one of her 14 nieces and nephews, Becky enjoys being outdoors running, walking, biking, stand up paddle boarding, and boating.
Brandon Peoples
Asset and Compliance Manager
As SOLitude’s asset and compliance manager, Brandon Peoples is responsible for implementing efficient, cost-effective operations and managing the company’s daily business to ensure that service agreements are executed properly. He also reviews financial, sales and operations reports with senior management to make appropriate recommendations for capital equipment expenditures. Additionally, Brandon negotiates the acquisition of trucks, boats and equipment and helps to maintain a safe working environment by scheduling all equipment and vehicle maintenance.
Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Environmental Compliance and Sustainability from the University of Southern New Hampshire.
He began his lake management career in 2005 as a seasonal field technician. Since his start in lake management, he has functioned in a variety of roles such as field technician, mechanic, equipment operator, mechanical project manager and business development manager. He has worked on restoration and lake management projects throughout New England, New York and New Jersey.
Brandon is a native of Massachusetts. When he’s not working, Brandon enjoys offshore fishing, strength training, competitive powerlifting, snowboarding, traveling and hiking with his dog Roman.
Amy Draudt
Procurement Manager
Amy Draudt is a procurement manager based out of SOLitude’s Virginia Beach office. Amy is a highly organized business professional with a versatile administrative support skill set. She is responsible for providing office support in the day-to-day operations of the business, including purchasing and procurement activities.
Amy attended Kingsborough Community College in New York City, and worked in Manhattan and New Jersey before relocating to Virginia Beach in 1999. She brings many years of experience working as an office manager, with hands-on experience in all areas of accounting and payroll. In her previous role, Amy was recognized for identifying cost saving initiatives, enhancing and streamlining procedures, and motivating complacent vendors.
When she is not working, Amy loves spending time with her daughter, Melissa, as well as other family members and friends. She enjoys going to movies, listening to music, watching football (especially when the New York Giants or Virginia Tech Hokies are playing), and spoiling her cat, Ebby.
Trina Duncan
Business Manager
Trina Duncan joined the SOLitude Lake Management team as the company’s business manager, working in the overall administration of the business and overseeing the firm’s day-to-day financial transactions, accounting and other important internal business projects. Trina brings more than 20 years of high-level experience in bookkeeping and office management to the SOLitude Lake Management staff. She holds an associate degree in computer science from Tidewater Community College and possesses much-related work experience and a never-ending desire to learn. These qualities, in addition to her organizational skills, attention to detail and strong work ethic make her a perfect fit for our growing company.
Trina is a native to South Hampton Roads. She and her husband make their home in Virginia Beach with their two adopted German Shepherds, Max and Anya. When she’s not crunching numbers, she enjoys volunteering for the Virginia Beach SPCA, Jazzercise, running, cycling, scuba diving and just hanging out with family and friends.
Allison Tabisz Barber
Process Improvement Manager
Allison Tabisz is a project coordinator who supports company operations as a member of SOLitude’s technology team. She helps implement programs and services that create efficiencies between sales and contracts departments.
Allison holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Technical Management from DeVry University. She has more than a decade of business and management experience, and has utilized her expertise in a variety fields ranging from catering and events to healthcare.
Allison is originally from Cincinnati, OH, but she has lived all over the country. She relocated to Virginia Beach from Sneads Ferry, NC with her husband, Paul, step-daughters, Addison and Kaydence, and their three dogs, Remus, Sophie and Ike. When not at work, Allison can be found reading a good book, going to the movie theater, working on projects around the house or planning their next crazy adventure.
