Matthew joins the staff as an Aquatic Biologist and Environmental Scientist and will serve the Company’s Northern Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia clients.Matthew joins SOLitude Lake Management with an impressive educational background. He completed his Master’s degree at Bemidji State University in Minnesota where he received an M.S. in Biology. His Master’s thesis and research focused on aquatic invertebrates in the headwaters of the Mississippi River. Matthew had the wonderful privilege to present his thesis at the annual Mississippi River Research Consortium meeting in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Prior to attending graduate school, Matthew completed his undergraduate education at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a degree in Environmental Science. After graduation he worked with an engineering firm where his work primarily focused on the long-term remediation of contaminated sites that contained underground storage tanks. He also had the opportunity to work in paper mills, superfund sites, and an archeological excavation.Matthew will be based in SOLitude Lake Management’s Fredericksburg, Virginia office. In addition to his extensive field experience, Matthew also brings experience as an instructor which will be valuable in both client and staff training.
