SOLitude Supports Children Through Annual HOLiday Cheer Giving Program
Over the past two years, we’ve come to better appreciate our relationships with friends and family. This is particularly top of mind during the holidays, as spending time with loved ones is harder to navigate than in the past. Underprivileged families and children may find that this creates a more stressful and taxing holiday season. Through our HOLiday Cheer program, SOLitude strives to support these families in creating a more joyful and fulfilling time of year.
Collecting Presents & Necessities for the Salvation Army
SOLitude’s nationwide teams collected donations valued at $6,150 to provide to 130 children as part of the Salvation Army’s nationwide Angel Tree initiative. Colleagues fulfilled wish list items for children between the ages of 1-16. These included items such as books, games, craft supplies, action figures, beauty accessories, and sports equipment. Many children were also provided coats, shoes, toiletries, and other necessities. SOLitude is proud to support the organization, which has contributed more than 11 million Christmas gifts since 1982.
Donating Gifts to Children's Hospitals
In addition to Salvation Army contributions, SOLitude also supported several children’s hospitals including the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital (CA), the Children’s Hospital Colorado (CO), the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida (FL), the Shriners Children’s New England hospital (MA), and the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (VA).
The team donated 160 gifts valued at $2,800 to bring cheer to the families and children going through difficult times.
Spreading HOLiday Cheer Since 2012
In total, SOLitude has donated more than $62,539 through the HOLiday Cheer program since the initiative began in 2012.
