Director of Business Operations and Procurement
Rebecca Higgerson joined the SOLitude Lake Management team as the company's Service and inventory manager and was quickly promoted to director of operations. In this role she is responsible for managing and overseeing our field service operations, as well as our vendor relations, purchasing, and procurement activities.
Becky brings with her 25 years of finance, purchasing and leadership experience. Becky is a graduate of Old Dominion University and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Becky’s early career consisted of finance-related positions before becoming the Controller for a game company in Norfolk for ten years where she managed the finances and operations for the company. For the eight years prior to coming to SOLitude, she was the Director of Purchasing for a large national company headquartered in Virginia Beach that provides tactical equipment, services, procurement, and support solutions to the local, state and federal government. While there, Becky built and managed a purchasing team of 18 people and managed $1.3 billion in purchases a year. She was responsible for vendor contract negotiations, and implemented a Supplier On Time Delivery program for several hundred preferred suppliers that made a huge impact on improving the overall operations of the company.
Becky is a native of southeastern Virginia. She and her husband live in Chesapeake with their Norfolk terrier, Rugby. When she is not spending time with one of her 14 nieces and nephews, Becky enjoys being outdoors running, walking, biking, stand up paddle boarding, and boating.
Asset and Compliance Manager
As SOLitude's asset and compliance manager, Brandon Peoples is responsible for implementing efficient, cost-effective operations and managing the company’s daily business to ensure that service agreements are executed properly. He also reviews financial, sales and operations reports with senior management to make appropriate recommendations for capital equipment expenditures. Additionally, Brandon negotiates the acquisition of trucks, boats and equipment and helps to maintain a safe working environment by scheduling all equipment and vehicle maintenance.
Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Environmental Compliance and Sustainability from the University of Southern New Hampshire.
He began his lake management career in 2005 as a seasonal field technician. Since his start in lake management, he has functioned in a variety of roles such as field technician, mechanic, equipment operator, mechanical project manager and business development manager. He has worked on restoration and lake management projects throughout New England, New York and New Jersey.
Brandon is a native of Massachusetts. When he’s not working, Brandon enjoys offshore fishing, strength training, competitive powerlifting, snowboarding, traveling and hiking with his dog Roman.
Trina Duncan joined the SOLitude Lake Management team as the company's business manager, working in the overall administration of the business and overseeing the firm's day-to-day financial transactions, accounting and other important internal business projects. Trina brings more than 20 years of high-level experience in bookkeeping and office management to the SOLitude Lake Management staff. She holds an associate degree in computer science from Tidewater Community College and possesses much related work experience and a never-ending desire to learn. These qualities, in addition to her organizational skills, attention to detail and strong work ethic make her a perfect fit for our growing company.
Trina is a native to South Hampton Roads. She and her husband make their home in Virginia Beach with their two adopted German Shepherds, Max and Anya. When she's not crunching numbers, she enjoys volunteering for the Virginia Beach SPCA, Jazzercise, running, cycling, scuba diving and just hanging out with family and friends.
Business Operations Coordinator
Nancy McGann is a business operations coordinator for SOLitude's New England office. She is responsible for overseeing accounting and financial transactions as well as other important internal company projects.
Nancy’s tenure in the aquatics industry began in 2005 as the executive secretary to Lee Lyman at Lycott Environmental. Before starting with Lycott, Nancy held positions in personal banking and in municipal planning. Nancy has carried her meticulous organizational skills and acute attention to detail throughout her career which allows her to succeed in any task or challenge that is presented to her. She has assisted with multiple office relocations along with the consolidation of operations as a result of multiple mergers.
When not solving the problems in the office world, Nancy and her husband Brian can be found caring for their rescue horses Sweetie and Boston.
Field Operations Support Manager
Rob Wheaton is a field operations support manager for SOLitude Lake Management’s New England region. Rob is responsible for overseeing the company’s daily business to ensure that service agreements are properly executed. He also handles the acquisition of company vehicles and equipment. Additionally, Rob currently holds pesticide licenses in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont with supervisory-level licenses in both Connecticut and New Hampshire. He can also be found on an airboat assisting on larger application projects throughout the New England states.
Rob received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Nichols College in Dudley, MA. He entered the aquatics industry as a field assistant in 2005 with Lycott Environmental, graduating through multiples roles throughout all aspects of the company, and in 2009 was promoted to technical applications manager where he oversaw the chemical applications division. Rob has an ability to design and build equipment based on the specific wants and needs of the application staff and has been nicknamed “MacGyver.” He designed and supervised the construction of Lycott Environmental’s first Hydro-rake in 2007.
Rob enjoys spending his time away from work boating at his family camp on Big Alum Lake, playing golf and traveling to Aruba. He lives in Sturbridge, MA, with his wife Noreen and his canine shadow, Gator.
Business Operations Specialist
Alex Kurth is a business operations specialist based out of Fort Myers, FL. He has a degree in Business Finance from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Alex supports the teams responsible for the eradication of aquatic weeds and algae for properties in the region. His background in the management of large lake systems for a diverse range of clients has been instrumental to his success. Alex is a well informed, knowledgeable resource for homeowners and property managers looking for sustainable lake and pond management solutions.
In his spare time, Alex can be found on the water fishing, scuba diving, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. He also likes to travel as much as possible.
Business Operations Systems Analyst
Griffin Lang is a business operations specialist working out of SOLitude’s Virginia Beach office. He provides ongoing support for sales and operations teams by processing contracts, as well as analyzing and optimizing system processes to ensure prompt, quality service for our clients.
Griffin is from Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, in 2016, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He brings a strong work ethic and a continuous desire to both learn from and help others. Before joining SOLitude, Griffin worked at BusinessForward, a process-improvement management consulting firm in Pittsburgh, PA. Along with creating and implementing the company’s first ever e-newsletter, he also helped redesign their document retention process, introduced a new talent acquisition software, and performed social media analytics.
At James Madison, Griffin was a four-year member of the club ultimate frisbee team, the JMU Flying Hellfish. He was a captain his senior year, and helped the team finish a program best of 23rd in the nation. Griffin continues his love of the sport by playing on the weekends for a club team in Richmond, VA, as well as pickup games on the beach. When he is not on the ultimate field, Griffin can be found hiking, cooking, traveling, or seeing live music. He loves the outdoors and is always looking for new adventures to go on with friends.
Amy Draudt is a procurement manager based out of SOLitude's Virginia Beach office. Amy is a highly organized business professional with a versatile administrative support skill set. She is responsible for providing office support in the day-to-day operations of the business, including purchasing and procurement activities.
Amy attended Kingsborough Community College in New York City, and worked in Manhattan and New Jersey before relocating to Virginia Beach in 1999. She brings many years of experience working as an office manager, with hands-on experience in all areas of accounting and payroll. In her previous role, Amy was recognized for identifying cost saving initiatives, enhancing and streamlining procedures, and motivating complacent vendors.
When she is not working, Amy loves spending time with her daughter, Melissa, as well as other family members and friends. She enjoys going to movies, listening to music, watching football (especially when the New York Giants or Virginia Tech Hokies are playing), and spoiling her cat, Ebby.
Service Contract Manager
Bret Ervin is a service and contracts administrator focused on supporting SOLitude’s field and operations teams through contract and service order review and processing. Bret has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management with a concentration in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from James Madison University.
Prior to joining SOLitude in November 2017, Bret was a leader in the gourmet seafood business in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There, he focused on all aspects of restaurant management, including operations, sales and customer service, and was awarded for Hospitality and Guest Service Excellence by Currituck County. He was also involved in large-party wedding catering at some of the premiere destinations in the region.
Bret grew at the oceanfront of Virginia Beach and in his free time enjoys all forms of recreation. In addition to partaking in year-round surfing, Bret is often found weight-lifting, riding beach cruisers, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and family. In the winter, he also likes to hit the slopes. During college, Bret was a member of JMU’s ski and snowboard club, Borderline, and has experience snowboarding in Steamboat, CO, Snowshoe, WV, and Mont Tremblant in Quebec, Canada.
Service and Inventory Administrator
Ben Green is a service and inventory administrator working out of SOLitude’s Virginia Beach office. He assists the SOLitude field teams and purchasing department through operational support and plays an integral role in the overall efficiency and success of the company.
Ben received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Prior to joining SOLitude, he spent time working as a natural gas technician. He transported equipment from coast to coast, worked on site security and helped optimize internal processes.
An avid outdoorsman, you can find Ben celebrating all seasons by skiing, camping, cycling and swimming. The sport he loves the most is Ultimate Frisbee, as he spent 4 years playing on the Flying Hellfish out of JMU. He continues to play on a club team based out of Arlington, VA, in the summer.
Service and Contract Administrator
Sarah Morin is a service and contracts administrator focused on processing service agreements and supporting SOLitude’s Operations and Administrative teams. Sarah has extensive experience in customer service, merchandise licensing, marketing and project management.
Sarah graduated from Salter College, with a license to practice massage therapy. She later began her career in lake and pond management with Lycott Environmental and Aquatic Control Technology.
Sarah enjoys spending her time away from work gardening, reading, working on projects around the house and visiting the Maine coast with her husband, Eric, her two children, Makenzie and Hunter, and their two dogs, Dozer and Piper.
Service and Contract Administrator
Kelly Wilson is a service and contract administrator. As an integral part of the Operations and Administration team, Kelly focuses on processing service agreements and supporting scientific and sales staff. Prior this role, Kelly served as a Regional Administrator based in SOLitude’s Georgetown, DE, office.
Before joining SOLitude, Kelly spent more than ten years working with Kent Conservation District as an Urban Conservationist, where she performed stormwater inspections of residential and commercial practices in Kent County, DE. Kelly also supported staff administratively and was the initial point of contact for property owners. Her regulatory knowledge and industry experience, coupled with her excellent communication skills, make her a valued member of the SOLitude team.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys baking, running, traveling and visiting Disney. Her Shih-tzu, Sasha, keeps her company at home.
Business Operations Manager
Pam Murray is a service and contracts administrator focused on processing service agreements and supporting SOLitude’s Operations and Administrative teams. Pam has more than a decade of project management, business and leadership experience in the financial industry.
Prior to joining SOLitude, Pam was a leader with Bank of America for 17 years. Most recently, she managed project work and process changes mandated by State and Federal agencies as it related to foreclosure and bankruptcy.
Pam and her husband live in Virginia Beach with their three dogs, Gizmo, Roscoe and Stephen. She loves spending time outdoors kayaking, gardening or just walking the dogs and meeting neighbors. Pam has been a strong supporter of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life event for the past 19 years.
April Hall is a procurement specialist based out of SOLitude’s Newport News, VA, office. She focuses on supporting sales and field staff by processing orders with vendors for each of SOLitude’s offices.
April has over 25 years of experience in customer service, purchasing, receiving, inventory, Human Resources, payroll and bookkeeping. Through a marketing work-study program in high school, she was employed by an Electronic Service Center, where she worked for 23 years. There, April started out as a customer service representative and moved from purchaser to claims specialist, all the way up to Office Manager. For another four years, April took her knowledge of the Electronics Industry to an Audio/Video & Security company where she was the Project Manager and Office Manager.
April was born and raised in Newport News. She now lives in Gloucester with her husband, Bill, and their three children, Jacob, AJ and Kayla. When April is away from work, she can be found at the beach or Water Country with her family. She also enjoys playing her viola with the Courthouse Community Orchestra in Gloucester. April is a huge Yankees and Cowboys fan and loves to watch sports, especially when her children are playing.
Whitney Kochheiser is an executive assistant supporting SOLitude’s CEO, Kevin Tucker, from the company’s Virginia Beach office. Whitney works closely with company leadership to coordinate and execute corporate projects.
Whitney has an extensive background in executive office management and credits her diverse experience to working with multiple corporations in Washington, DC. She’s also experienced in advertising sales and used her expertise to start a local neighborhood magazine.
Whitney is native of Virginia Beach and graduated from Virginia Tech. Her young daughter keeps her busy and active, and they spend most of their free time with extended family, going to football games, visiting the beach and traveling.
Director of Business Strategy and Analytics
Amy Collier Howard, director of business strategy and analytics at SOLitude Lake Management, is responsible for the review and implementation of processes that support corporate initiatives. Amy manages all IT and software vendors, as well as related upgrades and customization projects. She also trains SOLitude staff members as required in the use of these systems that are used to serve clients.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with majors in Accounting and French, from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She began her professional career as an accountant with an architectural and engineering firm in Norfolk, VA before accepting a position with Dollar Tree, where she was she was instrumental in developing the tools necessary for automating the budget process. She then moved to the Dollar Tree merchandise department and assisted with the implementation of corporate merchandising, allocation and replenishment systems. Amy most recently worked in Dollar Tree’s Information Technology department and was responsible for departmental budgeting, purchasing and service management for the $20 billion company. Amy also worked several years at Care-A-Lot Pet Supply as the Director of Planning and Analysis, where she gained valuable experience with Microsoft NAV ERP software.
Amy enjoys spending time with her four children, all four years apart in age, playing family games of volleyball, kickball and four square as well as games such as Catan, Dominion, Spades and Skipbo. She enjoys reading to her children or reading Ayn Rand, Malcolm Gladwell and Nicholas Sparks by herself. Her two favorite roller coasters are the Griffon at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA and the TopThrill Dragster in Cedar Point, OH. Amy’s favorite vacation spot is on Gull Lake in Michigan where she spends time with her brothers and family boating, jet skiing, paddle-boarding, water skiing, tubing and attempting to wake surf.
Business Analytics Manager
Chris Mann is a technical and business analyst who assists SOLitude with process documentation, corporate strategy and analysis, and IT and telecom projects. Chris works out of SOLitude’s Virginia Beach office, and is a graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has a strong combination of business experience and technical skills to support SOLitude’s administrative and operations teams. Chris also has an extensive background implementing process improvement projects, and his previous work developing reporting systems, financial models and interactive dashboards resulted in significant revenue generation and costs savings.
Chris spends his free time with his wife, Monica, and daughter, Hailey. He enjoys running with his dog, Kyle, playing soccer and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Briana Crockett is a project specialist on SOLitude’s technology and analytics team. She joined Solitude in October 2018 to help integrate new software platforms and support clients, partners and company leadership through various IT and analytics projects.
Briana earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Recreation Management from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. She worked as a Student Assistant during college performing data entry for various survey projects, which began her interest in data analysis. Prior to joining SOLitude, she worked at the Public Policy Research Institute (PPRI) with Texas A&M University, where she was a Research Assistant for the Evaluation Project with the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division and Homeland Security Grants Division. As a Research Assistant, she was responsible for a majority of the daily project tasks and maintaining the project schedule. She helped to manage the PPRI Grantee Evaluation Website, provided technical assistance to grantees, managed data, performed data entry, and analyzed data to create summary reports.
Briana also interned at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in 2012, where she fell in love with Coastal Virginia. She is excited to now be living in Hampton, VA where she is only 15 minutes from the beach. She leads an active lifestyle and is a member of CrossFit Stimulus and runs half marathons. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, hunting, and reading. She has two cats and two German Shepherd dogs.
Process Improvement Manager
Allison Tabisz is a project coordinator who supports company operations as a member of SOLitude's technology team. She helps implement programs and services that create efficiencies between sales and contracts departments.
Allison holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Technical Management from DeVry University. She has more than a decade of business and management experience, and has utilized her expertise in a variety fields ranging from catering and events to healthcare.
Allison is originally from Cincinnati, OH, but she has lived all over the country. She relocated to Virginia Beach from Sneads Ferry, NC with her husband, Paul, step-daughters, Addison and Kaydence, and their three dogs, Remus, Sophie and Ike. When not at work, Allison can be found reading a good book, going to the movie theater, working on projects around the house or planning their next crazy adventure.
Director of Human Resources
Kelly Martin is the Director of Human Resources at SOLitude. Kelly strongly believes that people are an organization’s most valuable assets. She is passionate about linking the talent strategy to the business strategy at SOLitude, and helping to ensure that the organization has the right talent, in the right place, at the right time.
Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. She comes to SOLitude from SimpliVity, where she was a Global Human Resources Manager and Business Partner, concentrating on developing programs to attract and retain top talent. She also coached leaders throughout the global organization on employee relations issues of varying complexity. Prior to SimpliVity, Kelly spent several years at Brookfield Renewable Energy Group as a Regional Human Resources Manager, focusing on heavy M&A activities and cultivating a respectful and productive relationship with the five Unions she oversaw.
Kelly resides in Massachusetts with her family and golden retriever, McKinley. Kelly is passionate about her family and loves watching her kids sporting events.
Human Resources Administrator
Emily Walsh is a human resources administrator who works directly with the director of human resources out of SOLitude's Shrewsbury, MA office. Emily is responsible for recruiting talented new team members and coordinating onboarding processes. She also helps oversee company benefits programs, employee relations and efforts focused on enhancing company culture.
Emily Graduated from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) with a degree in Environmental Conservation and a concentration in Management. Emily started with SOLitude in 2014 in the Mechanical Division, where she progressed into a project coordinator position planning hydro-raking and harvesting projects.
As her career continued to progress, she gained interest in employee relations and Human Resources. She loves learning new skills and enjoys helping the SOLitude team that she has been familiar with for years. As her role evolves within the Human Resources team, Emily plans on expanding her knowledge any way possible and delving into new realms of the field.
Emily has always been known as a people person, and loves to lend a helping hand whenever possible. Growing up with 5 siblings, she is used to many personalities and social interactions. In her free time, Emily can be found outside by the lake kayaking or going off the rope swing. She loves country music and spending time with her friends and family on the weekends.
Chief Financial Officer
Debbie Clement, CPA, is SOLitude’s chief financial officer with more than 25 years of experience as a financial executive. As CFO, Debbie has oversight of the company’s accounting and finance operations and coordinates the preparation of financial statements, reports, analyses and budgets. She also assists with the integration of companies that have been acquired.
Debbie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Arkansas State University, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Accounting. In addition to her extensive finance and accounting experience, Debbie brings experience in managing various HR functions, including payroll, employee benefits, and retirement plans.
When she is not working, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and sweet dog, Mako Jo. For years, Debbie was the ultimate softball mom, spending her summers and falls traveling with both daughter’s teams. Now that they are both in college, she will have time to pursue other hobbies.
Debbie believes in giving back to the community that has so enriched her life, and particularly enjoys organizing charitable/giving events for local organizations/charities such as the Arkansas Foodbank and Our House Shelter.
Robyn Kirwin joined the SOLitude Lake Management team as the accounting supervisor in 2016, bringing with her more than 10 years of experience in high-level bookkeeping, accounting and office management. In her current position, she oversees all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and sales tax.
Her accounting background began in high school when she worked as the closing manager at a local smoothie shop, before moving on to work as a bookkeeper, and then a local medical artist. Robyn graduated from Pulaski Technical College with an Associate of Science in Business Accounting, achieving Highest Honors. She also attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. Following her graduation, Robyn gained additional valuable experience while working as a full-charge bookkeeper for a local full-service accounting firm and office manager for a mechanical contractor.
When Robyn isn’t working, she and her husband Mike enjoy all the natural beauty Arkansas is known for—spending their time camping, boating and fishing. They also love pampering their sweet puppy, Rylo, and the chickens they raise.
Business Operations Coordinator
Pam Dale is a business operations coordinator focused on streamlining processes between sales, vendors and field staff to more efficiently provide services to clients. She has nearly two decades of experience in all areas of business management, including accounting, inventory management and customer service. Pam has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Prior to joining the SOLitude team in 2013, Pam worked in CPA firms focusing on accounting. She went on to become a Chief Financial Officer and then Corporate Accountant for a project management company, where she supported the turn-key management of multi-million-dollar building projects.
In her free time, Pam is an avid gardener. She enjoys learning how to garden in different climate zones. She comes from a very artistic family and is proud to have many art pieces, painting and carvings of Battery Point Lighthouse, a historic landmark in Crescent City, CA. Pam is also interested in visiting new neighborhoods and attending estate sales to find unique items. She spends the rest of her time reading and hanging with the senior woman at her church.
