SOLitude & Fishiding Design Habitat Projects With Young Fishing Teams

February 23rd, 2013

North Augusta Border Bass Invitational Fishing TeamThe first Annual North Augusta Border Bass Invitational is set for March 2, 2013 at Wildwood Park Landing, Appling, GA. There will be teams of students from middle and high schools in GA and SC that promote the sport of fishing and resource conservation through education. North Augusta Fishing Team (NAFT) goals are to promote environmental conservation and efforts including Tournament Fishing and getting kids off the couch, away from TV and video games, and getting them outside to fish and enjoy the great outdoors. After all, our youth are our future!

Matthew Phillips, one of SOLitude Lake Management’s Fisheries Biologists, will at the tournament to talk to the kids and answer questions related to fishing, habitat and pursuing an education in the field.

David Ewald with Fishiding, will also be on hand to discuss potential future habitat projects with the kids and major corporate sponsors.

Support these kids, as they are preserving our waters and giving back for future generations. They are aware of our environment, look to continue their education and are involved with their community — a recipe for success!
