Regional Director: West and Northwest FL
Doug Agnew is an Environmental Scientist and Regional Director who oversees SOLitude's teams in Sarasota, Sun City, St. Petersburg, and Wesley Chapel. He focuses on developing his colleagues so they can reach their potential and make a difference for their clients. He is passionate about making a positive impact on the environment by rehabilitating, enhancing, and sustaining aquatic ecosystems.
Doug has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Marine Science from Stockton University. He joined the SOLitude team more than 33 years ago and has served in many roles across the company throughout that time.
Doug is from Pompton Lakes, NJ. He has been fascinated by marine biology since he was a kid.
Regional Sales Manager
Josh McGarry is a Regional Sales Manager who helps oversee business development efforts across SOLitude’s Sarasota and Sun City territories. He enjoys helping and educating clients, developing his team, and speaking at industry conferences. He is passionate about supporting his colleagues and being a good steward to the environment by restoring wetlands and waterways to a natural and healthy state.
Josh earned a Master Naturalist Certification from the University of Florida, and holds a Florida Green Best Management Practices certificate. He has more than 10 years of experience working with SOLitude.
Josh was born-and-raised in Aurora, NY, in the Finger Lakes region.
Business Development Consultant
Liz Rocque is an Environmental Scientist and Business Development Consultant. She helps clients identify their water quality problems and develop sustainable solutions for the long-term health and beauty of their lakes and waterways. She especially enjoys educating clients about maintaining effective stormwater systems.
Liz graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy. She is knowledgeable about algae identification, common aquatic plants and sustainable solutions to manage nuisance growth.
Liz is very involved in the lake management industry. She received her Green Industries Best Management Practices certificate for the enhancement of Water Quality on Florida Golf Courses and is on the Board of the Suncoast CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area).
Jason Jasczak is a Fisheries Scientist and District Manager focused on maintaining quality relationships with clients, providing freshwater ecosystem inspections, and creating sustainable maintenance plans that preserve the ecological balance of the natural environment. He has served as a knowledgeable leader on the SOLitude team for nearly ten years.
Jason earned his degree in Fishery Science from Hillsborough Community College. He also holds Florida Green Best Management Practices and Florida Master Naturalist certificates.
Jason was born and raised in Hawaii.
Anthony Flock is a Service Manager and Marine Scientist who helps clients achieve their lake, pond and wetland management goals. He specializes in targeted nuisance and invasive plant removal using sustainable solutions. He also serves as a knowledgeable resource for clients.
Anthony earned his bachelor’s degree in Marine Science from Jacksonville University. Has joined the SOLitude team in 2013.
Outside of work, Anthony enjoys spending time with family at the beach or around theme parks in Orlando.
Alex Johnson is a Service Manager who has served SOLitude’s local clients for more than three years. He regularly works with clients to restore and rebalance the health of aquatic ecosystems and coordinates with the aquatic management team to ensure client goals are achieved.
Alex was born in Fort Smith, AK. He fell in love with the state of Florida after vacationing with his family and decided to move to the area. He enjoys problem-solving and working outdoors.
Peter Simoes is an Environmental Scientist who serves clients in Florida’s Sun City region. Peter is responsible for water and algae sampling, lake assessments and monitoring, lake bathymetric mapping, midge fly/mosquito surveys, natural resource surveys and reporting and more.
Peter has completed internal laboratory programs to become a certified sampling technician for our lake assessment testing and research programs. His duties contribute to the success of our many lake and wetland restoration and nutrient reduction projects.
Peter earned an associate’s degree at Saint Leo University before going on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of South Florida. While at USF, Peter was employed at the university’s herbarium as an Assistant Curator. In that role, he collected, identified and cataloged plant species for the center’s collection. The experience provided a valuable foundation for wetland ecosystem restoration techniques.
Mitchell Hartwig is an Aquatic Biologist who joined the SOLitude team in July 2018. He supports clients by providing genuine care for their freshwater resources through sustainable algae and aquatic weed management, erosion control, water quality restoration, and more. He cares deeply about the environment and is proud of his ability to combat these issues while educating clients and promoting a healthy native ecosystem.
Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Tampa. He went on to work as a crab observer for an industry-leading fishery and marine mammal observer program. Mitchell also earned his Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
In his spare time, Mitchell can be found exercising, reading, playing video games, and spending time with friends.
Daniel Caballero is an Aquatic Biologist who joined the SOLitude team in September 2015. Based out of the company’s Sun City, FL office, he serves clients with genuine, personalized care. He enjoys educating homeowners, associations and municipalities about the benefits of proactive freshwater management is a knowledgeable resource for eco-friendly invasive weed and nuisance algae solutions.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of Tampa. He went on to work for several aquarium and marine centers. He has a Pesticide Applicator License.
Daniel is passionate about his work, but also enjoys sports and music in his free time.
Trey Slocumb is an Environmental Scientist who joined the SOLitude team in 2018. He specializes in maintaining the health and visual appeal of his clients’ ponds, wetlands, preserves, and littoral shelves. He is experienced at using sustainable strategies and technologies to manage the growth of nuisance algae grasses and invasive species.
Trey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Florida State University. He is also a licensed pesticide applicator.
In his free time, Trey enjoys dabbling in technology and baseball. Game of Thrones is his favorite TV series. Anchorman is his favorite movie.
Jacob Adams is an Environmental Scientist who actively works with clients to implement custom water maintenance plans. He provides regular feedback and expertise on the progress of their projects.
Jacob earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science & Policy from the University of South Florida. He joined the SOLitude team in July 2017.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys playing ice hockey and fishing.
Brad Hampson is an Environmental Scientist who works with property owners to ensure their lake, ponds and wetland management goals are achieved. He is a knowledgeable resource who regularly interfaces with his clients. His expertise includes nuisance and invasive plant removal via mechanical equipment or the use of sustainable management practices.
Brad earned his bachelor's degree in Environmental, Soil, & Water Science from the University of Arkansas. He’s also a Florida Master Naturalist. Before joining the SOLitude team in 2017, Brad worked as a graduate assistant at his university and then as an Environmental intern at Scotland’s Rural College.
In his spare time, Brad enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoying nature. He likes to take his dog on hikes, and can often be found kayaking or fishing on the Hillsborough River.
Ben Pardue is an Aquatic Biologist who maintains an array of aquatic ecosystems across Florida’s West Coast. He specializes in the management of invasive species and regularly interfaces with clients when they have questions or need guidance to better understand the needs of their aquatic ecosystems.
Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in Marine Science & Biology from the University of Tampa. Prior to joining the SOLitude team in March 2019, he gained experience as a vertebrate zoology lab assistant.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys being outdoors in nature through fishing, hiking and camping.
Kyle Miller is an Aquatic Biologist who joined the SOLitude team in 2018. He specializes in the sustainable management of aquatic weeds and algae. He has a particular expertise in the maintenance of stormwater retention ponds.
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Adrian College. He is a licensed pesticide applicator. In his free time, he enjoys watching football and taking his dogs for walks.
Natural Resources Scientist
Jonathan Satala is a Natural Resources Scientist who manages lakes and ponds through the use of proactive management strategies and innovative aquatic management technologies. He takes pride in his ability to maintain consistent communication with his clients and is a knowledgeable resource on all aspects of environmental sustainability.
Jon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Management from Grand Valley State University. Prior to joining the SOLitude team, in 2014, Jon worked for the wastewater treatment industry and also spent time with the National Marine Fisheries Service.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending his time outdoors. He loves fishing, trail running and exploring.
Scott LaBallister is an Aquatic Specialist who joined the SOLitude team in 2012. He focuses on maintaining freshwater ecosystems and regularly connects with his clients to ensure their goals are exceeded.
Scott enjoys the challenge of transforming the aesthetics of lakes, ponds and wetlands while preserving the health and balance of these systems. He has a commercial applicator license and wetland license.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys coaching football and has done so for more than eight years.
Mark Kothe is an Aquatic Specialist who joined the SOLitude team in September 2019. He specializes in the management of freshwater resources throughout West Florida and is a knowledgeable resource for his clients. Mark earned his degree in Agriculture Business.
Outside of work, Mark can often be found outdoors enjoying nature.
Cory Silver is an Aquatic Specialist who helps ensure the freshwater management goals of his clients are exceeded. He pays great attention to detail and takes pride in his reliable work ethic. He joined the SOLitude team in August 2019 after gaining experience in the landscaping industry.
Cory is a native Floridian who loves to fish in his free time. He is also passionate about travel and is always up for trying new experiences.
Mike Rhodes is an Aquatic Specialist who focuses on providing sustainable management services for lakes, ponds and wetlands in Southeast Florida. He is experienced in the maintenance and repair of specialty equipment, including airboats and mobitrack vehicle tracking systems.
Before joining the SOLitude team in 2009, Mike studied computer network engineering at Tampa Technical College. He has his IREM property management certification.
Outside of work, Mike spends as much time as possible with his family and in nature. He enjoys fishing, golfing, animal husbandry and farm chores.
Dylan Stanley is an Aquatic Specialist who helps implement sustainable freshwater management plans that maintain the health and beauty of lakes and ponds throughout St. Petersburg, FL. Dylan enjoys working directly with clients to ensure their goals are achieved.
Dylan earned his degree in Geography from the University of South Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, surfing, mountain biking, hiking and anything else that gets him out in nature.
