Regional Director: South, Southwest and Southeast FL
Bill Kurth, a Regional Director in Florida, has more than 34 years of extensive experience in lake, pond and wetland management. Bill specializes in providing innovative treatment solutions for clients using new products and technologies, and has managed waterbodies for many of his local community associations and clients for 25 years or more.
Bill attended Tallahassee Community College and Florida State University, where he earned a degree in Business Management. He began his industry career as an aquatic applicator with a Florida-based aquatics company, where he quickly became responsible for the technical training of all new employees, and was promoted to the position of Branch Manager of the company's Ft. Myers branch within 4 years. Bill then moved to Cape Coral Florida in 1987, where his expertise in herbicide technology and ability to sell and manage while also performing aquatic applications allowed Bill to grow his branch by 400% in 8 years. In 1999, Bill moved on to the then newly-formed Lake Masters Aquatic Weed Control, where he served in many roles, including Branch Manager, Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations. Under his leadership, Lake Masters became one of the premier lake management companies in Florida before merging with SOLitude in 2018.
Bill is a multi-year board member for the Florida Aquatic Plant Management Society (FAPMS) and has served as a member of the North American Lake Management Society. He has presented at FAPMS on Control of Exotic Melaleuca Trees, and Recognition and Control of Golden Algae; at the UF/IFAS Aquatic Weed Control Short Course on the control of exotic species in Wetlands; at NALMS on Aquatic Weed Control in Florida; and has spoken at SePro Annual Business Conference on the use of Sonar herbicide in irrigation and other lakes, and on the efficacy of Captain XTR algaecide. He served on the Advisory board for SePRO, and has won awards for Best Management Practices, Sustainability, and Applicator of the Year in 2007. Bill was also named Outstanding Business Partner by the Bonita Bay Group and is a certified erosion and illicit discharge inspector.
Bill’s love of the outdoors is evident through his many hobbies, which include boating, fishing, diving, and travel. He also has a passion for cooking and gardening, and has been heavily involved with aquarium-keeping for most of his life, including live reef aquariums with living coral. Bill was an active little league coach for nine years as his boys, William and Alex, were growing up. Today, he and his wife, Carolyn, reside in Cape Coral, FL. They recently became grandparents and love to spend as much time as possible with family.
Regional Sales Manager
Josh McGarry is a Regional Sales Manager who helps oversee business development efforts across SOLitude’s Sarasota and Sun City territories. He enjoys helping and educating clients, developing his team, and speaking at industry conferences. He is passionate about supporting his colleagues and being a good steward to the environment by restoring wetlands and waterways to a natural and healthy state.
Josh earned a Master Naturalist Certification from the University of Florida, and holds a Florida Green Best Management Practices certificate. He has more than 10 years of experience working with SOLitude.
Josh was born-and-raised in Aurora, NY, in the Finger Lakes region.
Wetlands Services Manager
Dustin Hormann is a Wetlands Services Manager with extensive experience in exotic vegetation removal/control, wetland mitigation planting, littoral shelf planting, and incorporating native plantings into golf course landscapes. He has managed numerous projects in collaboration with the Florida FWC, the National Park Service, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. In addition to his federal experience, Dustin has performed initial and ongoing maintenance of invasive exotic species on thousands of acres for private individuals, golf courses, and communities.
Dustin is a current member of the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council, and in 2008 was elected to a two-year term on the Board of Directors. Dustin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Grand Valley State University. He started his industry career working as a project manager for an ecosystem restoration company where he gained experience bidding, executing and managing projects from Louisiana to the Virgin Islands before joining the SOLitude team in 2011.
In his spare time, Dustin likes to fish, fish, duck hunt and fish.
Assistant Wetlands Services Manager
Robert Brookins is an Assistant Wetlands Services Manager with 10 years of experience managing lakes, ponds and wetlands. Robert supervises his team’s wetland management projects, to include the removal of exotic vegetation, the introduction of aeration systems and the restoration of water quality in struggling waterbodies. Robert works directly with client to identify their long-term preserve and wetland management goals and ensure desires are exceeded. Robert also has experience building fish guards and performing fish stocking. He is a licensed Commercial Aquatic Herbicide Applicator and is Natural Areas Certified.
Before joining the SOLitude team in 2015, Robert gained more than a decade of experience in welding, fabricating and mechanics. Outside of work, Robert enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Wetland Crew Leader
Isaac Robledo is a Wetland Crew Manager who joined the SOLitude team in 2016. He provides valuable leadership and guidance to his team with a focus on the management of wetland ecosystems. Isaac has diverse experience working with clients across the West Palm region and continues to expand his industry knowledge through professional growth opportunities with partners, vendors and industry leaders.
Before joining the SOLitude team full-time, Isaac worked part-time, strengthening his understanding of sustainable lake, pond, wetland and preserve management strategies and solutions.
Wetland Crew Leader
Michael Robinson is a Wetland Crew Leader who ensures his teams are prepared each day to exceed the goals of their customers. He specializes in aquatic weed management and is knowledgeable in plant identification.
Prior to joining the SOLitude team in July 2019, Michael attended Broward College. Outside of work, he has many hobbies, including photography, fixing up cars, and tinkering with computers.
Alex Florez is a Wetland Technician serving SOLitude’s Florida clients. He focuses on the restoration and preservation of precious marsh areas and delicate aquatic ecosystems in southwest Florida. He is knowledgeable about sustainable management strategies that target undesirable and invasive species without impacting native wildlife. Prior to joining SOLitude he gained extensive experience working with the Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Division.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys photography, playing basketball and tinkering with car audio systems.
Johnathan Rodriguez is a Wetland Technician serving SOLitude’s Florida clients. He focuses on the restoration and preservation of precious marsh areas and delicate aquatic ecosystems in southwest Florida. He is knowledgeable about sustainable management strategies that target undesirable and invasive species without impacting native wildlife. Johnathan is currently studying business management at Palm Beach State College.
Outside of work, Johnathan enjoys playing sports, including baseball and volleyball, weight lifting and pursuing his interest in cars.
Ricardo Jose Montalvan Alamo is a Wetland Technician serving clients in SOLitude’s Florida market. He specializes in the eradication of nuisance and invasive aquatic plants and is knowledgeable about sustainable strategies to cultivate a healthy native ecosystem.
Ricardo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Keiser University and served in the military for more than a decade before joining SOLitude.
Outside of work, Ricardo enjoys photography, movies, video games, coaching the West Boynton Football team in his community, and spending time with family and friends.
Logan Bell is a Wetland Technician who manages wetlands and preserves using sustainable management tools and practices. Logan is well-versed in the identification of native and invasive species, treatment methods, and is an excellent customer advocate. He has been a valuable member of the SOLitude team since 2013.
Logan earned an Associate of Science degree from the State College of Florida and is pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg. In addition to his university education, he completed the Best Management Practices course from UF-IFAS and earned the certificate.
A Florida-born resident from Sarasota, Logan spent many hours with his grandfather who was a Botanist and Limnologist. He grew up learning everything about Florida’s freshwater and saltwater ecosystems, forests and wetlands. His favorite part of his job is spending time outside on the water
Tyler Hampton is a Wetland Technician who manages wetlands and preserves using sustainable management tools and practices. He enjoys helping clients achieve their long-term freshwater goals.
Tyler joined the SOLitude team in March 2019. Outside of work, you’ll find him relaxing.
Robert Hampton is a Wetland Technician who serves clients from SOLitude’s Pompano, FL office. He is experienced in the maintenance of freshwater lakes, ponds and preserves. His expertise is invaluable to clients with specific aquatic management questions or goals.
Robert joined the SOLitude team in June 2019. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and relaxing.
Grant Ellis is a Wetland Technician who focuses on managing aquatic weeds and exotic plant species using sustainable tools and technologies that are safe for the environment. He is knowledgeable about plant identification and takes pride in improving the health and balance of preserves throughout Florida.
Grant earned his degree in Kinesiology from Broward College before joining the SOLitude team in 2018. Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports and working out.
Evon Wilson is a Wetland Technician who performs aquatic weed and algae management services for clients throughout Southeast Florida. He takes pride in his efficiency and enjoys serving as a friendly and helpful resource for clients who are interested in discussing their freshwater management goals or learning more about SOLitude’s sustainable solutions. Evon regularly collaborates with colleagues to design and implement customized management plans for clients and helps ensure their goals are consistently exceeded.
Prior to joining the SOLitude team in July 2019, Evon studied Physical Therapy at Broward College. Outside of work, he likes to study, work out and read. Evon also meditates and practices yoga twice a week.
Tyler Avery is a Wetland Technician who helps manage natural preserves out of SOLitude’s Pompano, FL office. He specializes in invasive plant identification and management and plays a valuable role in the restoration of aquatic ecosystems.
Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree from Palm Beach State College. He joined the SOLitude team in January 2019.
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys relaxing and watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Renial Rodriguez is a Wetland Technician who joined the SOLitude team in 2017. He supports clients by identifying and removing nuisance and invasive plant species from their freshwater properties. Day to day, he works as a part of a crew, together accomplishing the goals of SOLitude’s clients.
In his spare time, Renial enjoys photography. He takes pictures of nature and people and submits his photography for use on SOLitude’s website.
Tim Rivera is a Wetland Technician who helps restore freshwater resources and achieve the goals of clients by eradicating nuisance and invasive plant species. He specializes in implementing sustainable solutions that enhance the health and beauty of the environment. He approaches every property as if it is his own.
Tim studied criminal justice at Palm Beach State College before joining the SOLitude team in 2018. Previously, he worked as a concrete contractor.
Outside of work, Tim spends as much time as possible with his family and friends.
Carlos Munoz is a Wetland Technician who serves clients from SOLitude’s West Palm Beach, FL office. He provides nuisance aquatic weed management services and specializes in the implementation of solutions that enhance the natural beauty and balance the environment. Carlos joined the SOLitude team in 2018.
In his free time, Carlos enjoys playing sports, including volleyball, football and basketball. He likes kayaking, sunbathing at the beach and spending time with his wife.
