Travis Hunt, Aquatic Specialist
A half-acre pond located on a private residence in St. Cloud, FL was plagued by nuisance weeds, including Salvinia, that completely covered the surface of the 4-5 ft deep waterbody, preventing the property owners from enjoying the beauty and functionality of their freshwater resource.
Scope of Work:
Aquatic weed treatments.
Licensed freshwater management professionals approached the management of the nuisance weeds and grasses in two phases. First, they applied EPA-registered herbicides along the edge of the waterbody to open a path for boat access. Once access had been established, a boat was launched to the middle of the pond to complete treatment.
The results were astounding. Pond visibility was restored and the client was extremely happy with the progress. In fact, following the completion of this work, the client signed a contract for a full year of professional lake management services.
