SOLitude was contracted to perform a nutrient remediation treatment to the largest lake on Cape Cod (750 acres) as part of an ongoing management program. This high-profile project was partially funded by the state and designed by Dr. Ken Wagner with assistance from SOLitude.
Scope of Work:
The low buffering capacity of this waterbody required application of the two chemicals to be very precise. The product was successfully applied to over half the pond area by SOLitude according to project specifications and no adverse impacts were observed post-treatment. Multiple treatments areas with different target doses were required for this project. Due to the size, temporary tanks were staged on shore to store chemical and simplify delivery logistics.
In support of our belief that lakes and ponds are a precious natural resource requiring protection, SOLitude is committed to providing sustainable and renewable solutions that maintain ecological balance in the workplace and beyond.
