Through its corporate volunteering program, The SOLution, SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the Eastern United States, named Ann Marie Dori, Marketing and Special Projects Coordinator, Volunteer of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2014.
Passionate about both the environment and helping animals, Ann Marie spent over forty-five hours volunteering in her community during the second quarter. She helped to coordinate a SOLitude team, including fellow co-workers, her husband and many friends, for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Save the Bay Day, a watershed cleanup event. She also spent numerous nights and weekends setting up appointments for pets of low-income families to be spayed and neutered free of charge through the FiXiT Foundation. In her own neighborhood, she spent many weeks this past spring trapping and rescuing a family of feral kittens. She even took one kitten to PETA to get spayed since the adopting family did not have a reliable means of transportation.
“Ann Marie is passionate about giving back to her local community and going above and beyond to help however and wherever she can,” said Tracy King, Director of Marketing. “We are very fortunate to have her on our staff and for her enduring contributions to 'The SOLution.'”
