SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the Eastern United States, is pleased to welcome Ross Dion, Fisheries Scientist, Kirk McDannell, Aquatic Specialist, and Sharon Delaney, Executive Assistant, to their growing team.
Ross Dion, based out of SOLitude's North Carolina office, is a Fisheries Scientist with a bachelor of science from Virginia Tech and has three years of lake and pond management field experience. He is a licensed aquatic pesticide applicator in both North and South Carolina and takes pride in exceeding his clients’ expectations.
When he is not working, Ross enjoys spending time with his family and friends, volunteering with his church, and watching Virginia Tech football. He has been on numerous disaster relief trips from Seaside Heights, New Jersey to Gulfport, Mississippi and is very passionate about helping those in need.
Kirk McDannell grew up in a rural area nearby Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where he first found a love for the outdoors, splashing around in the creeks and exploring nature in the woods by his home. He studied at The University of Delaware before working six years in construction, focusing on trim carpentry and cabinet building. Kirk brings over 10 years of customer relations experience in the retail and service industries. His strong work ethic, coupled with a true passion for the outdoors led him to SOLitude Lake Management in 2015.
Kirk is based out of SOLitude’s Delaware office and after an intensive training program, will serve clients’ lakes and ponds throughout Delaware, Maryland and the northeast region.
Kirk enjoys camping, biking, boating, and golfing. His favorite winter outdoor activity is rolling around in the snow with his Siberian Husky, Kuna. Kirk’s perfect setting is a private log cabin nestled in the woods with a fireplace.
Sharon Delaney brings over a dozen years of business and executive administration experience, and currently assists Kevin Tucker, SOLitude’s President, with human resources, financial and legal/compliance administration, staff trainings and internal meetings. Most recently, her administrative experience comes from working directly for chief officers at a Fortune 500 company. She takes pride in her natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning which allows her to quickly catch on to new concepts. Sharon has been successful using these traits to find efficiencies and create process improvements. Her adeptness with on the job training makes her a great addition to the SOLitude family.
Sharon spent the majority of her life in Virginia Beach. She is a mother to three boys and lives with her husband of 15 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her boys' games and hanging with her two Chihuahuas, Riggo and Wembley.
“SOLitude will benefit from the strong work ethic and extensive experience of all of our new team members. Both Ross' and Kirk's desire to help others, coupled with their true passion for the outdoors, make them a perfect fit. And Sharon's adeptness to new environments, in addition to creating process improvements, makes her another great addition to the team,” said Kevin Tucker, president. “I'm thrilled that they are a part of our growing team and expanding footprint.”
