SOLitude Colleague Glenn Sullivan Named SePRO Applicator of the Year

SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the United States, is proud to announce that Glenn Sullivan has been named by SePRO Corporation as their 2015 Preferred Applicator of the Year.

At their annual Preferred Applicator Seminar, SePRO, an industry leader in the development and manufacturing of environmentally responsible solutions for aquatic plant management, recognizes one person as Applicator of the Year. The award honors individuals for leadership, professionalism, environmental stewardship, innovation of application techniques and a drive to advance the science of aquatic plant management. Glenn is the third SOLitude employee to win the Preferred Applicator of the Year Award in five years, with previous winners being Shannon Junior, Aquatic Ecologist, and Marc Bellaud, President.

Glenn Sullivan, Environmental Scientist and Certified Lake Manager at SOLitude, has been working in the aquatics industry since 1993 and was President of Allied Biological in New Jersey from 2004 to 2014. As President of the Aquatic Manager’s Association in New York, Glenn was integral in the creation and oversight of efforts to control and eradicate hydrilla, a devastating invasive aquatic weed. He has designed numerous lake assessment programs and has worked to shift lake communities’ focus from aquatic plant removal to restoration of an ecological balance of aquatic plants and animals. Glenn has also has served on the Board of Directors at the Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society (NEAPMS) since its inception in 1999, with past terms as President, Treasurer and Newsletter Editor. In addition to being named 2015 Preferred Applicator of the Year, he has received numerous awards from the SePRO Corporation, including the Aquatic Environmental Stewardship Award (2003), the Best Management Practices Award (2005) and the Sustainable Leadership Award (2008).

The recipient of this prestigious award is nominated and selected from a Preferred Applicator company. SePRO recognizes a select group of companies throughout the United States as Preferred Applicators who show their dedication to enhancing the aquatics industry and are engaged with using the latest advances in training, technology and products. These companies demonstrate that they are stewards of the environment, and use all products and technologies in a careful and professional manner.
