The SOLution Recap

2022 Volunteering & Community Outreach Recap: The SOLution Program

In 2022, there were many unique opportunities to make a difference in our communities through volunteering and service. Through The SOLution program, our colleagues stepped up to support a variety of initiatives that left a significant impact on the environment, those in need, and the well-being of seniors, veterans, and essential workers.

The SOLution is SOLitude’s dedicated community outreach program established in 2012 to promote and reward volunteerism. Since the program was launched, SOLitude colleagues have collectively donated $549,105 to charitable organizations and generated 24,338 hours of volunteering.

Little GOBBLERs

Ahead of Thanksgiving, SOLitude partnered with 35 schools in the communities we serve to identify families facing financial hardship. We provided over $8,500 worth of turkeys and grocery store gift cards to school principals and counselors to distribute to 350 families in need.

HOLiday Cheer

SOLitude teams participated in the Salvation Army’s nationwide Angel Tree initiative by collecting gifts, clothing, and necessities valued at $6,150 to provide to 130 children in need. Additionally, the company also supported several children’s hospitals across the country with gifts and donations valued at $2,800 to help create a joyful and fulfilling holiday experience for families navigating financial and health-related challenges.

Heart & SOL Day

Colleagues continued their volunteer efforts with the 4th annual Heart & SOL Day, an initiative that encourages employees to take up to four paid hours during the workday to participate in community service activities that align with their personal interests. During this time, colleagues supported 12 different organizations, generated 288 volunteer hours, collected 2,000 pounds of trash, and packed nearly 4,000 pounds of food donations.
