Virginia Beach, VA, May 11, 2012 – SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the mid-Atlantic and surrounding states, made a donation to the National Forest Foundation to plant 200 trees. In an effort to support the National Forest Foundation, Earth Day 2012 and Arbor Day 2012, SOLitude Lake Management created a promotion that for each new “like” to their Facebook page in March and April they would plant a tree through the National Forest Foundation. Their efforts gained 133 new connections on Facebook. The company made an additional donation of 67 trees. Although SOLitude is a lake and pond management company, through their volunteerism, activism and fund raising “SOLutions Initiative” they support many environmental and ecological efforts. “We, of course, wanted to gain new Facebook supporters,” said Kevin Tucker, President. “But we also wanted our new and current “friends” to know that SOLitude is a company that takes action and wholeheartedly believes in being good stewards to the environment.”
