SOLitude’s Volunteer of the Quarter Serves as Mentor for Young Women

May 3rd, 2016

In the first quarter alone, Becky participated in 15 volunteering events and spent 50 hours volunteering in her community. Her passion for volunteering was sparked at a young age when she became a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a non-profit organization that strives to give girls the tools, training, and encouragement to let their individual spirits shine bright. For an impressive 19 years, Becky has served as an adult advisor and mentor, teaching girls and young women valuable leadership skills that will continue to open doors for each of them through college and their careers.

As volunteer team captain for SOLitude’s New England region, Becky has coordinated two team volunteering events with the Worcester County Food Bank, started a supply drive for the Worcester Animal Rescue League, created an office fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and scheduled an Earth Day cleanup on the Blackstone River.
